This Privacy Policy explains how Anugat AI Private Limited (“Anugat AI”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares and protects personal data when you visit our website, contact us, or use our Services. We process personal data in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”) and other applicable Indian law.
1. Data we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- Details you submit through our forms: name, email address, phone number, institution, role, preferred demo date, areas of interest and your message.
- Account data for users of the Services: name, work email, role and institution.
- Academic operations data that institutions upload, such as timetables, faculty allocations and workload records.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information and pages visited, collected through server logs.
2. How we use it
We use personal data to:
- respond to enquiries, schedule demos and communicate with you;
- provide, operate, secure and improve the Services;
- send updates you have asked for (you can opt out at any time);
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
3. Consent and legitimate uses
We process personal data on the basis of your consent (for example, when you submit a form) or for legitimate uses permitted under the DPDP Act, such as fulfilling a service you have requested. You may withdraw consent at any time by writing to hello@anugatai.com; this will not affect processing already carried out.
4. Data processed for institutions
When an institution uses the Services, it decides what data is uploaded and why. In that case the institution is the data fiduciary and Anugat AI processes the data on its behalf and under its instructions. Requests about such data should be directed to the institution first.
6. Retention
We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purposes described here or as required by law. Enquiry and demo-request data is retained for up to 24 months after our last interaction with you; account data is retained for the duration of the institution's agreement plus 90 days, unless a longer period is required by law.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, including encryption in transit, access controls and monitoring, to protect personal data. No system is completely secure; if a personal data breach occurs, we will notify affected parties and authorities as required by law.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
- access a summary of the personal data we hold about you;
- request correction, completion, updating or erasure of your personal data;
- withdraw consent;
- nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity;
- have your grievances addressed.
10. Children
Our website is not directed at children. Where the Services process data of students under 18, we do so only on behalf of, and under the instructions of, the institution, which is responsible for obtaining any verifiable consent required by law.
11. Grievance officer
For questions, requests or complaints about your personal data, contact our Grievance Officer at Anugat AI Private Limited, Ranchi, Jharkhand, at hello@anugatai.com. We will respond within the timelines required by law. If you are not satisfied, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.
